Terms of Reference
The purpose or terms of reference of the Coast Salish Employment & Training Society Zone Committee be as follows:
- To advise the Coast Salish Employment & Training Society Board on all operating policies and procedures
- To provide a venue for active participation by the representatives of clients in receipt of Coast Salish Employment & Training Society services.
- To review and approve all proposals for services in a designated geographic area (zone).
- To ensure for the Coast Salish Employment & Training Society Board, the fair and equitable distribution of funds allocated in a geographic area.
- To ensure on behalf of the Coast Salish Employment & Training Society Board that the Terms and Conditions of the Articles of the Agreement dated, between Coast Salish Employment & Training Society and Service Canada are adhered to.
- Term – 2 years must be supported by BCR/Board Motion
- Each Zone will nominate members of the zone committee to sit on the CSETS Board of Directors

- Work closely with and support CSETS local and central staff.
- Ensure timely reporting of client activities to the Coast Salish Employment & Training Society Board Offices
- Ensure appropriate information from meeting is brought back to Chief & Councils, Friendship Centers, Finance, communities if required; info will be provided by Committee representative
- Representative must contact Program Officer if they are going to be absent. Discussion of action plan i.e. lack of attendance

- Lack of Quorum – there will be 30 minute waiting period Robert’s Rules of order
- Cancellation of meetings to be determined by Chair person only
- Chair Person – will be elected by each zone committee. Roles & responsibilities of chair will be reviewed by each zone
- Meeting Schedules – Ko’pthut – 3rd Friday of the Month
HET – 3rd Tuesday of the month
WILNEW – 3rd Thursday of the month
