Job Summary

QM Environmental is one of Canada’s largest full-service national civil and environmental remediation firms. We are always committed to health, safety and the environment, along with our highly trained and qualified personnel.
As a Hazmat / Abatement Labourer with QM LP, you will be required to perform tasks involving physical labour on worksites. Responsibilities include cleaning  and preparing sites, erecting scaffolding and cleaning up debris. Projects include mold and asbestos removal.

Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Feel comfortable working in an environment that may contain mold and/or asbestos and commit to wearing proper PPE at all times (e.g. be clean-shaven and use half/full-face respirators)
  • Have steel toe boots
  • Fluent in English
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, their own and others.
  • Resume is not necessarily required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • No education or experience required – on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Asbestos/Mold Removal or construction experience is an asset.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Candidates must have their own steel toe CSA-approved work boots; hard hat and high visibility vest will be provided if required. QM will also provide asbestos related personal protective equipment (PPE).
